Dinan is a beautiful town in a very popular and picturesque area of North Western France. The town itself provides enough to keep you occupied for several days, including the ancient town walls, a plethora of historic houses and churches and dozens of bars and restaurants.

The Old Port of Dinan (a few minutes walk away at the bottom of the steep cobbled streets which lead down from the main town on the hill above the river Rance) offers further culinary opportunities plus boats for hire on the river. The river-side track also forms part of a longer ‘voie verte’ walking/cycling route which allows traffic-free enjoyment of the river estuary from the coastline in the north right through to Rennes 50km to the south.

Dinan is easily accessible via ferry to St Malo (35 minutes drive) or Caen/Roscoff (2 hours drive). Ryanair also fly regular cheap flights to Dinard airport which is only 11 miles north of Dinan.
